Protein powder is a great supplement for everyone's fitness journey. Most of us get protein from our food in take such as eggs, chicken, salmon, beans, nuts, etc. Depending on what your fitness goals are, it can be hard to get an efficient amount of protein even if you are eating foods with a good amount of protein throughout the day. Getting an adequate protein intake is crucial to weight loss, muscle gain, muscle recovery, muscle recomposition, and much more. Protein powder is a great supplement to incorporate into your daily nutrition plan because it can help you get that adequate amount of protein your body needs if you can't get enough from food directly. Over my 8 years of weightlifting and running, I have tried many different protein powders. With everything else in the fitness world, the brands and selections of protein powders are endless. There are different flavors, different types of protein (ISO, Whey, Casein, pea, and many more), different brands, and different forms (protein powder or pre-made protein shakes). There are even dairy free and vegan options for protein powder. Finding the right protein powder is up to you and what your goals are. I am going to share my top 3 favorite protein powders and why they are my favorite. I hope you enjoy and get a chance to try one if not all of these protein powders out!!

Quest Nutrition Protein Powder
Dymatize ISO 100 Protein Powder
PEScience Select Protein Powder
Quest Nutrition Protein Powder
Flavors I Recommend: Vanilla Milkshake & Chocolate Milkshake
Why?
Quest Nutrition Protein Powder is one of the first protein powders I used that I fell in love with instantly. The flavor is amazing. Both the vanilla and chocolate flavors are spot on. There is NO disgusting protein after taste, it isn't overly sweet, and it satisfy's my sweet tooth big time. Quest Nutrition Protein Powder also mixes very easily with water and almond milk for a quick after lift protein shake. What I love most about Quest Nutrition Protein Powder is that it blends perfectly with protein oats and protein mug cakes. I also only use Quest Nutrition Protein Powder to make my protein cookie dough. Aside from having a great taste and blending well, Quest Nutrition Protein Powder has a short list of ingredients and helps speed up my muscle recovery. I recommend giving it a try!! You will not be disappointed.
Dymatize ISO 100
Flavors I Recommend: Fruity Pebbles, Cocoa Pebbles, Birthday Cake Pebbles
Why?
Dymatize ISO 100 is one of the most pure and best protein powders to EVER exist. I tried it for the first time last year and I have continually bought it since. Dymatize ISO 100 protein powder does exactly what EVERY protein powder should do. It helps immensely with recovery/muscle recovery. Not only do you get a high amount of protein per serving with low calories, but you also get a good amount of BCAAs (branch chain amino acids). BCAAs helps speed up muscle recovery and it is something our bodies crave. I even take a second BCAA supplement. It helps cut down the time you are sore after a workout and so much more. Dymatize ISO 100 protein powder offers many flavors but my go to is the fruity pebbles. The fruity pebbles flavor reminds me of childhood and is amazing. No chalky after taste, not overly sweet, and it blends very well. I love mixing it with almond milk and some ice. The fruit pebbles flavor is also amazing blended with fruit. I have only tried a few flavors of Dymatize ISO 100 protein powder but I have loved every one I've tried. This is one of my all time favorite protein powders. It does not mix very well with oats or mug cakes. But if you are looking for a great protein shake or smoothie that does exactly what protein powder should do, get Dymatize ISO 100.
PEScience Select Protein Powder
Flavors I Recommend: Frosted Chocolate Cupcake & Cake Pop
I am new to the Select Protein Powder but let me just say the flavor. That's it. The flavor of this protein powder is out of this world. The protein itself is a great blend for muscle recovery and does the job to help with recovery. But when it comes to finding an amazing flavor protein powder that is good for baking, there was no way I couldn't add this to my top 3 favorites. PEScience Select protein powder is the best protein powder for cooking/baking with. I make protein brownies, protein mug cakes, and much more with this protein powder. Instead of what most protein powders do when baked or microwaved (which is usually a gross consistency) PEScience Select protein powder gets a cake like consistency that is beyond delicious. The frosted chocolate cupcake flavor is one of my favorite protein powders because it satisfy's my sweet tooth, helps with muscle recovery, and helps me stay on track for my fitness goals. It blends well with water or milk for protein shakes too. The ingredient list is short and simple, I highly recommend you checking out PEScience Select Frosted Chocolate Cupcake protein powder. You will not be disappointed!
